So when it comes to memorize information,we are taught in such a regimented way that it becomes boring and also time consuming! But what if I told you guys that memorizing information could actually be fun and youcould learn something in less than half the time as what you’re doing it at the moment!Well, im going to share with you my tip today so if you find it helpful then give this videoa thumbs up to let me know and show me some love.
So what is the secret to learning informationfast? It’s actually pretty simple.
The more meaningful the information, the easier andfaster you can learn and memorize it! For example, I was learning a speech froma presentation i had to give and I could have just re-read my notes over and over again or re-wrote my speech over and over again which is very time consuming and boring but instead I decided to get creative! I wrote down on my mirror using funny illustrationsand told a story.
I used lots of colours, arrows, and as I drew the images I would saythe corresponding part of my speech! Here is another example we can do togetherto show you how effective this technique of adding meaning to your work is!Take this diagram of photosynthesis.
Now you could just draw this diagram to add a littlemore meaning to your work, or you could turn it into an interesting story and go one stepfurther! For example, I want you to close your eyesand I am going to tell you a story.
This is a story of a Rosie the rose:Rosie the rose was one of many roses in a big beautiful garden.
Her petals were thedeepest shade of pink and she loved standing tall in the sunshine.
Every day she wouldbask in the sun’s rays and grow taller and stronger.
Although all you could see wereher luscious green leaves and beautiful pink petals, there was something magical happeningthat the human eye could not see.
Every day, the sun would give Rosie the energy to grow.
Using the sun’s rays, Rosie would take a big drink of water and a CALM and DEEP breathin (Calm and deep form the initials CD and this can also stand for carbon dioxide whichis what she would inhale.
Then, with a big sigh, she would purse her lips together tomake the shape of an O and exhale OXYGEN into the air! As she exhaled, delicious littledroplets of sweet candy would form on her luscious green leaves.
The candy is also stickylike GLUE, and is known as GLUCOSE! Rosie the rose would hold on to some of them andsave them as a snack for later, while the rest she ate right away to give her some muchneeded energy! And just like that, you have learned aboutphotosynthesis.
The process of plants using light’s energy, water and carbon dioxideto produce glucose and oxygen! And I like to think that my storytelling abilities arepretty good and entertaining so learning about information this way is a whole lot more funthat reading your textbook! Now I am very confident that you will all remember thisinformation an hour from now, a day from now, and even a week from now! So if you found this video helpful then giveit a thumbs up to let me know and I will see you next Wednesday! Bye!.
